Kunzis Fundraising For College

Hello everyone!,for those of you who do not know me my name is Kunzi Dlamini and I am in matric at Reddam House Umhlanga. I am a lover of fitness and everything that is a physical activity as well as looking after my body and mind. You may recognize me as one of those avid runners on our amazing umhlanga promenade,and oh for, all you boxing, field hockey fans… we have a little something in common ;)

MY STRUGGLES

This definitely is not the first time that I have reached out to the public as the last time my plan didn’t funnel through the way I planned it out to, and that’s okay because it gave me an opportunity to take a step back and to look at alternatives that I had thought of long ago!. You are probably wandering’ why can’t you get a hockey scholarship ‘. To be honest I have spoken to many college coaches and unfortunately field hockey is the only sport I really am good at as well as because hockey scholarships are only given to women and there is very little opportunity for me with hockey that will help decrease my overall costs.

WHAT HAS BROUGHT ME HERE AND WHY I WANT TO GO

I have had the amazing privilege of being able to visit the beautiful country of America and since the day I returned from my trip, I knew that I was going back. The country is full of opportunities especially for aspiring agriculturists like myself and I mean, who doesn’t want to go to a country that has the best quality of their interests, broaden their horizons, meet new people and do what they’re most passionate about?, I don’t know of anybody…. Jokes aside I crossed paths with this newfound passion of agriculture that I had covered in geography and since then I have been yearning to take my studies to greater heights and be a part of this crucial industry as we head through to this future of uncertainty where climate change plagues the future of our environment. Yes I know that it is scary to hear but hay, I want to be part of the solution by encouraging sustainable farming practices, which is where and how we are fed and kept alive.

HOW YOU CAN HELP ME OBTAIN MY DREAM

I am a strong believer in Christ and I do feel that he has placed this desire in my heart for a REASON

However I want to humble myself and tell you that due to financial uncertainties I am not able to attend the colleges I would love to go to as the prices are incredibly steep but I cannot give up . I do feel with your support and your generosity towards my funds that YOU can make this dream of mine

NOW TO THE COSTS

I have for 2 years of efficient planning and research, talking to friends, family and trusted advisors that I can go through with this plan of obtaining the future I envision. I plan to work on the yachts for a year and a half, start an offshore account and then use my money to fund my college which is a community college in America which are among the most affordable and easiest to get into,(not that I am taking the easy way out), I chose Community College because they provide me with skills that are learnt outside the classroom and are comprised of field work, smaller classes and even work experience!. I plan to attend for 2 years and do internships for a year after graduating and return to my beautiful country of South Africa and uplift my community by giving back and educating those without jobs and use my skills to make a positive impact in people’s lives.

The total cost for my course is R24, 990 which equates $1492,02, I have already managed to get some funding from other parties and the remaining amount is R16000.‘Sail and Power SA’is responsible for my course(just so you know that your money is going towards a legit cause) and I set out to raise this money by the end of the year. The course allows me to go abroad and get a job that pays in euros so I will have more than what I need to help cut down costs for my tuition at college!

I am deeply invested with my plans for my future and I guarantee you that with YOUR continued assistance and love YOU will go to bed everyday with a smile on your face knowing that you are the reason, no matter how small or big your contribution, why somebody like myself who is so hungry and passionate about their future will be able to accomplish their dreams and walk this earth in the plans that their lord and savior Jesus christ has called them into.
