What is Kumbh Mela?

The Kumbh Mela, one of the oldest and largest spiritual gatherings of the world, is celebrated at four different places in India every 12 years on certain celestial alignment of traversing planets. Millions of spiritual seekers bath into the sacred river with belief that it cleanse their karma and lead them towards achieving oneness with the source. When all the Saints, seekers and Religious lead ers congregate at Kumbh, the combined energy raises the spiritual frequency of this mystical event, so you will have an intense personal realization.

The Significance of Kumbh Mela
In Kumbh Mela, people from different traditions showcase their uniqueness and unleash the power of co-existence. The sacred dip in the river on the particular planetary position cleanses all our karma. It is believed that the water body holds the strong spiritual energy and maintains the energy field. In the mass of humanity from various backgrounds, we lose sense of all petty problems and this provides a perfect opportunity to reinvent ourselves.

Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad, the governing body for organizing Kumbh Mela for centuries has authorised Nithyananda Sangha Australia to celebrate the Kumbh Mela for the first time ever in Australia.

This event will focus in bringing together diverse sects including indigenous community, Hindu and Buddhists temples, yoga community, Cultural arts community and vegetarian food community in Victoria. The event will focus on embracing uniqueness and celebrating the human existence beyond differences.

What Will You Experience?

Rudra Homa (Fire Ritual) - Rudra homa is a powerful fire ritual for cleansing the system of all deep-rooted disorders. It is a Vedic ritual which helps us connect to the fire element, one of the five major elements in Nature along with sacred chants.

Discussion Forum - Leaders From Various Organisations around Australia will present their views on the ancient Vedic Culture and give you the understanding of these ancient rituals.

Sacred Dip and Procession - The sacred dip gives an opportunity for people to purify their body and soul. The deities from various temples will be brought in a procession and immersed in the water sanctified with Ganga water. After the water is energized by the deities, masses gathered will be blessed with this sacred water.

Yoga & Meditation - People can join the Yoga and Meditation session during the event.

Free Healing - Free healing sessions will also be provided for people who are seeking alternative solutions to their health and well being.

Free Annadhan (Sattvic Meal) - Sattvic food is of the highest grade and is clean, pure and gives life, strength, energy, courage and self determination. It provides subtle nourishment for vitality and consciousness.

Cultural and Arts Festival - The celebration of multi-cultural society and stage performances will certainly occupy your attendance during the event.
