Project “K”

Dear friends,

A dear friend and mother and her three teenage daughters were forced to leave their home due to an unacceptable domestic situation. They are safe and are staying with another school family near Brussels for the last seven months. She is, like most of us, a stranger in this country and has nobody to turn to. She has no other place to go to nor has she financial means to support herself and her girls.

We would like to call on anybody who would be willing and able to help out to support this friend.

We have received encouragement and support from several friends and we have been able to raise enough financial support, with all your help and kindness, to allow her to stay until the end of the school year and provide her and her daughters with basic needs for groceries and necessary purchases (clothes, personal items).

The end of the school year is now approaching fast and the family is preparing for their return to their home country in Africa. For now there still is a substantial financial need to allow her to pick up her life back home and ensure ongoing education for her three daughters. Unfortunately, we still have to work from the assumption that they are ‘on their own’ and without any other support.

No matter how big or small, any contribution would be highly appreciated. The account details provided are her own so any donation will benefit her directly.
