It is 3:20 AM here in Sampaloc, Manila, the 9th of November, 2016.

The Idea was born around 11:55 PM on the 8th of November, 2016, when a 'shocking' announcement was made that same day regarding a name full of controversies and stories.

Being someone who experienced the tremors and hardships on the morning of November 8, 2013 in the Island of Leyte, Philippines, the passion to tell this compelling story grew into me.

The W's You Need To Know

I know that I am basically a stranger to you, except for my family/friends who will be reading this, but this is a project that a lot of you will be able to connect to.

• WHO. I am Ivan Cinco Hallig Panganiban, a 22 year old visionary filmmaker based in Manila whose only desire is to create compelling pieces different forms of art. My life goal is to express in film, important subjects that will challenge the minds of the audience.
• WHAT. KRUS is a film idea that was born around 11:55 PM on the 8th of November, 2016, when a 'shocking' announcement was made that same day regarding a name full of controversies and stories. The film will be tackling 5 stories that all happened on the same date, November 8, in the Philippines. The piece will be set in the future, when the 'future generations' look back, and experience events in their lives that reflect on their nation's history. Themes that will be touched on are: War, Love, Tragedy, Family, Power, Religion, Passion, Service, Innocence, Heroism, Death, Race, Adventure and most importantly, HOPE. Even if the story will be set in the Philippines, the film will inspire and touch all kinds of races and social groups.
• WHEN. The goal is for the film to be screened on the 8th of November, 2017. The production time for the film will take place in full 6 months before the release date. In those 6 months, Pre-Production, Shooting and Post-Production will take place in full detail.

What We Need & What You Get

We need at least PHP 1,000,000,00, or USD 20,900 to fund this project. These funds will be distributed wisely to Film Equipment, Actors' Fees, Post-Production, Location Funds, Permits, Food, Transportation, and other contingencies.

Although the goal is to fund this through donations and independently, surpassing the goal will guarantee a better masterpiece of the film, because frankly, the goal is a tight budget for this project.

By contributing to this campaign, you will be entitled to different benefits. Here are the benefits that the contributors will get:

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel.

USD 101-500

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel and a signed poster.

USD 501-1000

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel, get a t-shirt and a signed poster.

USD 1001-2000

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel, a copy of the film in Blu-ray once released, and get a t-shirt, a signed poster.

USD 2001-3000

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel, a copy of the film in Blu-ray once released, the film's album, get a t-shirt, a signed poster and join us for the Official KRUS Charity Fundraiser.

USD 3001-5000

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel, a copy of the film in Blu-ray once released, the film's album, get a t-shirt, a signed poster, join us for the Official KRUS Charity Fundraiser and be invited to the premiere on November 8, 2017.

USD 5000-above

• The contributor's name will be included in the film's credit reel, a copy of the film in Blu-ray once released, the film's album, get a t-shirt, a signed poster, join us for the Official KRUS Charity Fundraiser, be invited to the premiere on November 8, 2017, AND become one of the Executive Producers of the film!

The Impact

Aside from the message that the film aim to portray, we are aiming to launch a charity fundraiser after the film's release, to help the people who were affected by the different events tackled in the film.
