Kovah Needs Care

This is our loving, fluffy Pyrenees Kovah! We got him as a puppy shortly towards the end of our other dog’s life, Daisy, who passed away at age 14. After Daisy’s passing we began to notice some unusual behavior from Kovah. We thought it could be depression from losing his friend but we were wrong. Kovah was scheduled for an appointment at the vet the next morning. With Kovah being only 5 months old at the time we didn’t think there would be anything drastically wrong. We were wrong. Kovah was diagnosed a liver shunt after seeing his portal vein abnormally small. This type of diagnostic is very rare in big dog breeds and they vet said they are so glad we found out so soon. This also causes for him to become severely underweight and on a special diet. The issue is without a CT scan we can’t tell how many he has. Along with the liver shunt issue he is mentally delayed. He is our special dog and we need your help.

They are only giving him 2 years to live unless something is done. The vet said we need to have a CT scan done as well as surgery. However, the price for those can be pricey especially with a huge dog breed like Kovah. We can’t stand to lose another family pet in such a short time.
