Have you ever wondered what would happen if you pushed yourself harder than you ever have before? This funding is a tribute to all those stuck in a rut. Tired of their 9 to 5 jobs, stuck in traffic and wondering what could have been. I have a dream and the motivation to push myself beyond my limits. To get up at 4am in the wind and rain. My whole life I have been told "it is okay to lose", "someone has to come last", that "there is always someone better". But it doesn't have to be like that. I have decided that I want to change my life by entering the 2019 IRONMAN. However, to do this is no easy task. That is why I have asked for funding. To make this dream a reality. So more people like me can have the courage to attempt to break the concept of what is impossible. People tired of mundane. People that seek to challenge themselves. I have a swimming background having competed in waterpolo at a provincial level. I decided to start triathlon so that I can use my swimming abilities in an endurance event that puts together the three most common yet challenging disciplines. I am currently working a 7-5 job, getting up at 430am to go to gym and getting home after 6pm in the evenings from exercise. I am determined to do this. Being funded will help me achieve the goal I have already set out to do.
