Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to announce Koh Tao Shark Project has had a succesful start. With our small "research vessel" we managed to search the coast of Koh Tao (Thailand) and found numerous shark eggcasings. All of the found casings were already hatched. With coöperation of UK based charity Shark Guardian we managed to identify the shark in question: The Brown Banded Bamboo Shark.
We are still on the search for Bull, Grey Reef, Leopard Sharks and now the Shovelnose Ray has entered that list!

Shovelnose Ray aka Guitar Shark @ Lighthouse Bay
Update posted by Eduard Lemmens at 01:00 pmDear Shark enthusiasts,again, we've received a report about a Shark species which hasn't been seen around Koh Tao for a long time... The Shovelnose Ray (Guitar Shark) was spotted by several snorkeling boats/trips near Lighthouse Bay. Unfortunately today divers found it today... R.I.P. beautiful creature!
Bull Shark @ Chumphon Pinnacle

With the help of UK based charity Shark Guardian we managed to identify the species. We are proud to present to you: The Brown Banded Bamboo
