About Me

I am a PhD (overseas) student in my penultimate year, undertaking my studies at Lancaster University, Lancaster. I am conducting research in the field of Management specifically Knowledge Management; with an emphasis on how individuals can build upon their knowledge capabilities by engaging with their colleagues, other individuals and organisations at large through one of the various forms of knowledge transfer mechanisms such as communities of practice. I have gone through the mandatory research training process and gathered a significant amount of data within the past year with just some additional data left to be collected (as there is never always too much data to collect as it seems :)). I am also doing my data analysis and writing that chapter of my thesis. In terms of research progress, all is on track to my completion deadline which is December 2017.

Why Fund Me?

Prior to my embarking on my PhD studies, I completed my First Degree in Business Administration were I graduated with a First Class B.Sc. (Hons.) and got among several awards the "Best Graduating Student Award". On completing my undergraduate degree, I got a scholarship to undertake a Masters Degree Programme in Management here in the United Kingdom and graduated with a Distinction.

While my research is on track, I have encountered some financial challenges which could affect my conducting and completing a vital aspect of my research. This financial challenge has come about due to loss of financial sponsorship I had previously available to me. As a result, my tuition fees has not been fully paid for this academic year with £13,260 left outstanding. The funding I seek is to pay my tuition fees and to essentially complete my studies.

More About Me

After my undergraduate degree, I worked briefly within the Third sector as a Project Administrator for a Healthcare Consulting Organisation whose ethos was on the training and development of the local community in which we operated from. The training covered how to get assistance with healthcare within the community, how every individual can be sensitized on the importance of personal health-consciousness in order to ensure both adults and children continually have a risk-free and healthy lifestyle. On concluding my Masters degree, I worked briefly in the Retail Sector progressing to Team Leader within my area of operation. As a Team Leader, I supported fellow and junior colleagues with their training and development goals. These included how they can improve their knowledge in carrying out their various assignments and translating the knowledge gained through practical application within their work roles.

My academic and professional experiences thus far, played a part in informing my decision to engage in a Knowledge Management Research Project as it became obvious that knowledge within our core areas of operation is a fundamental resource which ensured we had a good experience in whatever role we found ourselves as individuals; whether within our local community, within the work place or the larger society when dealing with various stakeholders.

With just one more year to complete my studies, I am as passionate, resolute and enthusiastic as ever to complete my research project and then apply the knowledge and experience gained to help and improve the lives of people wherever I find myself; whether at the local community or larger society, for the Greater Good and Betterment of All Humanity.

Your support, assistance and positive response to my humble appeal to raise enough money to enable me pay the Tuition Fees for my Final Year at the University will be deeply appreciated.

Many Thanks for your generous donations.
