"Knowledge is Power" - this line was made famous by the Philippines' most iconic weatherman, inventor, and trivia man, Mr. Ernie Baron. When I was growing up, I idolized him because it seems that he have all the answers for all the questions and topics that we were discussing at school incidentally during his segment at the evening news. This feat earned him the alias "The Walking Encyclopedia".
15 years later, it is one of the principles in life that inspired me in entering the teaching profession. But now, there is no more Ernie Baron that can answer the question of students at the evening. Students nowadays ask the internet, often misguided by inaccurate information or lost in the jungle of the world wide web. Without a teacher to guide them in improving their knowledge, Filipino students are often considered laggards in being prepared in entering their university years.
Our goal is to equip the Filipino students to help them in excel in Reading, Languages and Mathematics (EveryJuan's least favorite subject) through the establishment of Kumon Learning Center in the province of Cavite which is directly located beside Metro Manila with a population of more than 600,000.
