Hi My name is Marius Niklaus E. Tawason.

I am 4 years old from Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.

I am the youngest of two siblings. My Ate Arya is only 6 years old.

I love Excavators, Construction Vehicles, Dinosaurs, and Building Blocks.

By March 2021, I started to lose appetite even though I love eating food and was losing weight. My mother noticed this and had me checked by my doctors. They gave me appetite-stimulant vitamins.

Months later, I had a low-grade fever for 2 days that came back every 2 weeks. My family noticed that my tummy was bloating and had me checked by my doctors again and they gave me anti-flatulent medicines. I got better but after a month I was bloating again and I was leaning to the left when I'm walking. I had a check-up again; they gave me laxatives and I was active again.

Then on August 16, my tummy hurt so much so my family took me to the ER, it was scary going to the ER at the time of the pandemic and the peak of Delta Variant in Cebu. They did an Ultrasound and were shocked to see a huge complex mass on the left side of my stomach. They contacted my Pedia and we were referred to a Gastroenterologist.

The Gastro checked the Ultrasound and took CT scans to confirm if it was indeed a mass or just feces.

By night time, my tummy was aching so much so they took me back to the ER.

On August 19

We were told that there is indeed a Tumor suspected of Neuroblastoma or Wilm's Tumor.

On August 20

I underwent surgery for biopsy and possible removal of a tumor. Unfortunately, the size of my tumor is risky to remove for my age.

On August 22

an NGT Tube was inserted on me so that I can be fed. I refused to eat and my doctor was worried about my nutrition.

August 25 - September 11

I was rushed to the ER again because I was gasping for air and I looked weak.

I was admitted again, this time for Pneumonia. I was put on antibiotics and was scheduled for my 1st Cycle Chemo. Biopsy results came back with a diagnosis of Neuroblastoma Stage 4.

To this day, with the help of family and friends, we have spent around P600K for my hospital admissions, chemotherapies, blood transfusions, medications and lab tests.

My next 2 Major Operations will cost a total of P600K and my family is now low on funds.

My 2 Major Operations will be:

1. Laparotomy - to remove the tumor from my tummy

2. Remove another mass from my lungs

I will also have chemotherapies in between.
