My name is David Mwendele, well known as Mwalimu David, for the past 12 years i have been working to help empower out of school youth and children through training programs, tools, job referrals, capital and scholarships. This has been after i graduated from Hananasif Orphanage Centre which took me from Street as i was struggling with my step mom to get basic needs and offered me opportunity to join their Boarding school for studies and guidance.

With friends and family support, i have been able to impact the lives of many youth and children around my community. Unfortunately 12 years later i had to shut down my operation due to high number of children and youth joining my programs and fail to meet running costs due to Covid restrictions on travel since its was my main ways of raising money to support my work by assisting tourists and international volunteers. One big lessons i have learnt on my set back, is to rework on my fundraising models so as to be ready anytime Pandemic and other related obstacles arise.

This is why i with my partner Deanna and brother Ricado worked on looking for fund to buy a farm land. The land that can help me empower myself and to empower others through my work with out of school youth in Tanzanian communities. With this land, i look forward to build an Eco-Friendly village to demonstrate how Africa could use its land as a viable way to sustainable economic empowerment and job creation for out of school and street youth challenge.

One of the major challenge the village where our farm is located is absence of clean water, villagers uses water from mining ponds collected during rain season, but also they buy water from supplier who bring water from a far and sell water at a very high price. With this fundraiser, i look to raise money enough to drill water well and install water tanks at the farm. The water well will help to raise more money by selling water at affordable price to our neighbor villagers. The money generated will then be used to develop Kizazi Huru Village.

Each project at Kizazi Huru Village including water project will be supervised to run profitably by a group of out of school youth after capacity building program, while supervised by the management under my leadership. After water drilling, we expect to construct fish pond, chicken house, goat house, organic vegetable gardens, guest cottages, tree houses etc. We believe the availability of water at our farm will make things easier but also will help raise money for further investment including increasing the size of our farm.
