So many children have had to flee their homes. They risk their lives to reach a safe place in Europe. They have nothing. They are cold, and they are afraid. Many have seen things no child should ever see.
We are 12-year-old secondary school children in Somerset, UK who want to help children who are less fortunate than us. We are collecting money to put kits together which hopefully bring a smile to their face, and help to make things just a tiny bit easier for them.
We want to fill at least 100 gym bags with crayons, colouring books, cuddly toys as well as toothpaste/toothbrush, some vitamins, sweets, a warm hat, a rain poncho, and an emergency blanket. Each bag will cost about £10.
When we have enough money to pack the bags, we will check where they are most needed at the time. This could be Greece or somewhere else in South East Europe.
