The Kingdom in the townships: South Africa Mission 2015

Dear Friends and interested readers alike,

Jesus said that he's the Light of the World, the solution to all the darkness and hopelessness on this earth.

Can you imagine the impact that Christ could have on a South African township? In an environment which is plagued with spiritual evils, violence and poverty, people are aware more than ever of their need for God. I want to be a minister of reconciliation to communities that are vitally in need of healing: spiritual, emotional and physical. I'm totally confident that these vast communities of people will be changed by the Gospel unto eternity.

I want to take a week of unpaid leave from work to join Dominic and a team from Now Believe (https://www.facebook.com/nowbelieveinjesus?fref=ts) to proclaim in words and actions the amazing news that Jesus has destroyed everything to be feared in life or death, and his love and forgiveness (shown at the cross) is available for all. In the Kingdom, there's a place at the table waiting for many South Africans, and I want to point them in the right direction.

The mission itself will be located within Cape Town, South Africa. The official timing of the mission is from the 12th of September to the 26th: but I intend to join from the 21st to the 26th.

Here's what Dom wrote regarding the trip, and gives you a great image of what to expect: "This will be a marvellous opportunity to travel to a key global city and release the kingdom of God in all sorts of exciting environments. We will be visiting churches, a township, doing street ministry, ministering at revival conferences and laying hold of Jesus' full reward wherever possible. We will also take in the sites and beauty of this great city. If you have a passion to see more, get wrecked for eternity, trounce darkness and hell, populate heaven, grow in the things of the kingdom of God, then pray hard about joining us!"

Like other missions for the Gospel, this is a faith thing, and I won't be able to do this without you. If you want to help support a passionate Jesus-following disciple and team to get to South Africa and preach the Gospel, if you want to invest in souls and the Kingdom of God (into what can't be taken from you), then I invite you to put forward financially towards my participation in this mission. We're partners in this harvest, and any blessing I get from this week is one which I want to communicate and share. I'm going to be posting testimony pictures (photos of people and locations with associated testimonies of what God has done) over facebook throughout the mission. I'll also be writing a mission report and sending it via mailchimp. Even if you didn't read a single testimony, you could still rest in the knowledge that the Gospel will be preached in South Africa, and be confident that people are going to get born again and come into the Kingdom.
