Kind Hearts for our Mama with A Big Heart ( Pacemaker Insertion for Mama Eliza)

This is our dear mother, Eliza B. Rualez. She is a person with a big heart. She is very compassionate and kind. She is a biological mother to four but a mother at heart to all of her neices and nephews, in-laws and grandkids.

She was diagnosed hypertensive and diabetic on her early 30s. She has been living her life daily normally despite all the challenges thrown to our family. Her mother (our grandmother) has been diagnosed with Secondary Liver Cancer sometime around December 2017 and according to her doctor she may only live not longer than 6 months because of her condition. Of course, we pray to God that the doctor has just miscalculated, anyway, only God knows when is our time. Anyhow, we all still want to spend the remaining time we have left taking care of her (our grandmother) most especially our dearest Mama Sang as we fondly call her. She has spent all her time taking care of our grandmother.

Recently this Thursday (January 18, 2018) our grandmother was rushed to the hospital (Chong Hua Hospital). As Mama Sang was on her way to the hospital, waiting for a jeepney, she suddenly collapsed banging her head on the gutter. A good samaritan rushed her to the same hospital (CHH). That was the first time this happened to her. She is now diagnosed with Sick Sinus Syndrome (SSS). According to her doctor that was the cause that she fainted. A day after, she had seizure episodes and has been vomitting until today (January 21, 2018). We witnessed her heart rate went flat for 7 seconds several times. After all the lab tests were done, her doctors told us that our mother needs an EMERGENCY PACEMAKER INSERTION. For a moment, the world has shattered on us. We dont know where we will get the money to buy the Pacemaker and the whole heart surgery cost. This is something neither one of us are prepared for. Currently my mother is confined at Chong Hua Hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for close monitoring. She is currently on Temporary Transcutaneous Pacemaker to help her by delivering pulses of electric current through her chest, which stimulates her heart to contract.

This is the only way to stabilize her and avoid further seizure episodes until we are able to accumulate funds enough to purchase her Pacemaker and pay for her surgery. We have received financial help from our family, relatives and friends but just enough to get by with the daily hospital bills and medications.
