Kilometers for Kollel

THE PROJECT

Rabbi Dovid Horwitz, the head of the Ra'anana Community Kollel, together with a close circle of able willing friends, will run in the Beit Sha'an 21 km half marathon in an effort to raise vitally needed funds for the Kollel. 

THE CHALLENGE

You may know R. Dovid as a likeable Chareidi style guy who runs the Ra'anana Kollel. You probably don't know him as a marathon runner. That's because he's not. In fact until four months ago, he couldn't even run 500 meters before falling to the ground!" Rabbis aren't supposed to run!", you may say? Perhaps, but R. Dovid is going to prove to all that you can learn Torah and live a healthy lifestyle together! Although today he can run more than 500 meters without collapsing, he has never run anywhere near the 21 km he will need to run to finish the December race. 

Can he do it? Will he fall short of his mark or will he reach the finish line? Encourage him by sponsoring his run! By doing so you will give R. Dovid the final push he needs to reach the finish line of fiscal year 2013 without falling down!

ABOUT THE KOLLEL

The Ra'anana Community Kollel is a local organization that promotes Torah study to the wider community. It maintains a vibrant Beit Midrash from early morning until late at night and offers many learning opportunities for adults and children alike.
