We are an independent entertainment company in need of funds for marketing and promotion.

Below is an email from the music business consultant, Wendy Day, explaining that with a budget in place her and her staff will quarterback our company from A to Z in order to guarantee our success:

Thanks for reaching out!!

I am a consultant who is hired by artists who have investors in place. They hire me to help set up their indie labels or to help them build success for their artist’s career. I have a very hands on approach from putting together a marketing plan to hiring the workers to bring the dream to life from A to Z.

Some of my clients decide to stay independent and make the lion’s share of the money, and some choose to sign to major record labels using their success as leverage to get a financially beneficial deal.

Regardless, it all starts with great music and a budget of close to a quarter million dollars for marketing and promotion (hence the investor). I hope this clarifies what I do a bit more. For a complete understanding, please see HelpfulAngel.com. If Madame Kilo of Kilo Music Group, has the budget, more great music, and a strong work ethic (willing to outwork everyone else), I’d be a great asset to her.

For those who don’t yet have investors in place, I offer some free resources to help. You can find the links to my blog and YouTube channel below. Be sure to subscribe to both so as not to miss anything.

BELOW IS THE MARKETING PLAN:

This is the plan you need if your goal is to start a record label or build an artist's career independently of signing to a major record label. This plan incorporates the need for solid funding, most likely through an investor, friends, or family.

Our focus is to build consumer awareness for the artist and brand, help build fame, and monetize the project so there is a return on investment for the investor. To build the career and the brand, multiple releases will be put into the marketplace. We are looking to build the foundation for a successful career for the artist within a year or two by shortening your learning curve and utilizing proven methods of success in today's music business.

After analyzing the music, the artist's fan base, current team (if there is one), and location, Wendy Day will put together a realistic Plan of Action, Budget, and Timeline. Wendy will then make certain the structure, organization, and foundation of your company is sound via assembling and overseeing the necessary contracts, incorporations, corporate agreements, and registrations that are the basis and cornerstone of releasing music into the marketplace and making money in the music industry.

Additionally, we bring access to legitimate distribution companies such as Empire, RED, Capitol, ADA, inGrooves, ONErpm, TuneCore, etc. We will release 4 projects by one artist or group and the goal is to show you how to do this, hands on, so that you can continue to do this (over and over and over), and go on building careers and making money with music.

If you need access to producers, songwriters, known artists for features (which don't make financial sense until your buzz is strong), tour DJs, entertainment attorneys, or accountants in the entertainment industry, etc, we are happy to make the necessary introductions.

After the finished music is delivered, these are the following areas that I oversee and help you implement for 14 to 18 months:

  • Multiple full length releases (4)
  • Artwork
  • Video creation and promotion
  • Multiple Single release (40-60 songs)
  • Promotional Tours
  • Street Promotions
  • Radio Promotion for 2 singles (total)
  • Social Media for a year
  • Publicity for 8 to 12 months
  • Streaming Set up and Promotion
  • Internet Promotion
  • Advertising and Promotions
  • Events
  • Merchandise
  • Creation of Promotional Tools
  • Ancillary Income
  • Contracts (artist, producer, and corporate)
  • BMI/SESAC/ASCAP/SoundExchange
  • Distribution
  • Publishing Administration Deals

Budgets are strictly enforced with the intention of Breakeven within the first year so income can be reinvested back into the company until it is profitable. Investors should see a return on investment within 1 to 2 years. You will need an investment of at least $150,000 and I charge $100,000 to quarterback the projects, so you are looking at a total investment of at least $250,000 over a period of 5 to 9 months.

You are starting a legitimate business with the intention of growing it into a successful, profitable record label. If you don't already have an investor in place, you will most likely need to have a Business Plan to secure an investor or investors.

This Plan does NOT include recording, mixing, mastering, studio time, production, or office overhead. It also does not include advances, if any, or expenses for the artist. If you need funding to create the music or for office space, you will need to add that to your Business Plan.

Thank you so much for the opportunity and your donations are much appreciated.
