Campaign Story
Hello,
My name is Qasim Warraich, I'm 17 years old and go to St. John's Ravenscourt School. On August 13th, I will be making my way to Tanzania, Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The highest peak in Africa! I'm doing this to support the fight against Cancer, as well as in honour of Kendra McBain.
Kendra was diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer while she was still in highschool, attending St. John's Ravenscourt as well. Kendra showed true bravery and fought a lengthy battle against her cancer, whilst doing so, she decided to start the Annual Kendra's Walk, first held on May 29th, 2009. Her goal was to make it an annual event, and with her passing in December, 2009, it has been up to her family, friends and community to keep it going, which has so far been a success!
