Kilimanjaro for Endometriosis

Welcome to my fundraiser!

In March of 2018, I was diagnosed with the chronic illness I dreaded the most - Endometriosis. This means in short that I am in pain 80% of the day with pelvic cramps and pains, headaches, joint pains and extreme fatigue. And I am not alone. 1 in every 10 ladies suffer from this - and there is no cure!

As a result of the illness, women are losing their jobs, partners and dignity. A normal day without pain is few and far in between and not every lady is lucky enough to have the treatments to control the pain we have to endure every day. The end result is around 176 million ladies worldwide feeling like they don't belong..that we are not good enough.

As a 23 year old living with this illness, I have the opportunity to raise awareness and make a change. I want to prove to every person saying that we are unable to function normally, that not only are we "normal", but we can do so much more than just that! I am saying scr*w that!! and climbing more than 19 000 feet to prove that we are STRONG and UNBREAKABLE.

It will be difficult and I am so very aware of every challenge I will face during not only the climb, but the preparation and beginning of the journey as well. I believe in my willpower and determination to see this through. This is not for myself..

This is for every lady struggling to get out of bed in the morning because of cramps, for every newly married lady struggling to have a baby, for every teenager being told that she is just experiencing a "bad period". For the ladies who have given up because no one is listening anymore.

This one is for all of us!! I'll show them that WE CAN. And together we are Boxing Endo!
