Campaign Story
Most of you already know that Kieran had to undergo a major open heart surgery last year to fix his congenital heart condition (Tetralogy of Fallot) and had to stay in the hospital for 20 days which amounted to about 100k. Unfortunately, Kieran’s condition was diagnosed after birth so he is not covered under any insurance.
We thought that was it for at least a few years but he started swelling up around the eyes, belly and legs over the past month or two. We found out last Friday that his right pulmonary artery is so narrow that it was causing a build up of pressure in his right heart and his veins, causing blood plasma to leak into his tissues which caused the swelling. His cardiac surgeon has requested for the surgery to be done next Tuesday to relieve the high pressure in his right heart. It’s going to cost another 45-50k.
For those of you who know me, I normally wouldn’tdo this and I feel bad for asking but it probably won’t be his last surgery and not having insurance coverage is really tough. Any amount no matter how small will really help!
If you know me personally, and can bank transfer directly, it’ll be better because the website does take a 4% cut. I’m sorry I didn’t mention this earlier. You can dm me for my mobile number for PayNow or bank account number.

Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 08:00 amAlso, for accountability, here’s the bill. Kieran recovered pretty quickly, thankfully! Thank you so much to everyone who have contributed and prayed for Kieran! It has been a mentally and physically exhausting week or two but it was a lot easier knowing I had so much support! ❤️🙏🏻 I hope
Discharged!
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 07:54 amHello! Praise the Lord, Kieran has been discharged! We’re back home! He still has low grade fever here and there but we’re so glad to be out of the hospital!
Nasal Tube Off
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 01:08 amKieran’s fever has broken for now! His oxygen saturation seems to have stabilized over the night too. Yesterday he was chirpier and started talking too. This morning, we took off his nasal tube. He seems happy about it! Hopefully, we might be able to go home later today! For those

Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 01:04 amSorry this was yesterday’s update.Kieran should be weaning off the oxygen supply soon, but his fever is still going up and down. Otherwise, he seems to be doing fine. Hopefully, he will be able to go home tomorrow. Mm he seems to still not want to talk though. A little
Weaning off oxygen supply
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 03:15 amKieran should be weaning off the oxygen supply soon, but his fever is still going up and down. Otherwise, he seems to be doing fine. Hopefully, he will be able to go home tomorrow. Mm he seems to still not want to talk though. A little moody and grouchy too.
Move up to the general ward!
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 11:46 pmSorry I didn’t update much yesterday but we were moved up to the general ward in the afternoon! He’s still running a fever but it’s lower than the last two days.
Extubated
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 02:34 amKieran has been extubated, meaning he doesn’t have to rely on the ventilator to breathe. However, he is being given oxygen to keep his oxygen saturation up for now. He’s having a slight fever and had been given paracetamol. but otherwise, his doctors say he’s doing well
Heard from his surgeon
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 12:31 pmHaven’t seen Kieran yet but managed to talk to his surgeon. Basically, Kieran was in a pretty bad state when they started the main surgery cuz his right heart pressure was really high and his body was waterlogged everywhere but they managed to enlarge both the pulmonary arteries and lower. . . . .
Midline Sternotomy
Update posted by Vanessa Oh at 06:50 amI would really appreciate some prayers now. Initially they wanted to do a minimally invasive method but seems like they have to do a midline sternotomy again this time (aka open chest). 😭
