Mabopane Junior Golf Projects is a Non-profit Organization that intents to change children’s life through Golf. We provide disadvantaged children with tools, information and knowledge to learn important life skills and core values through Golf. We focus on developing Golf skills in children from a young age, we take children from the ages of 6-16 years in Mabopane and surrounding areas.
Currently the programme runs at the Mabopane driving range, and currently have 65 children (boys and girls) registered with the programme and attend the Golf classes every Saturday morning from 08:00am-13:00pm. We provide the children with a fun and creative learning environment while expose talent in the disadvantaged areas in Mabopane.
The purpose of this project is to build the capacity of local community forums and community organisations to participate more effectively through training, staffing, strengthened administrative infrastructure and strong networks and to provide skills and facilities to the potential junior golf players in communities for those normally excluded from it.
This project will create awareness and facilitate participation in shaping local communities, and hopefully contribute to this project. The purpose of this project is to provide and expose young children to golf and to give these children a fresh perspective through this sport.
This project will create awareness and take away the notion that this sport is for a particular group and expose young children to the sport by making it accessible for those who have been previously excluded while identifying grass root talent of the young ones.
