Our area sustained severe damage after the 3 strong earthquakes at the end of December 2020 and we need your support more than ever! We need your help to continue provide activities for children and youth in one of Croatia's poorest counties. Now we are unfortunately facing severe earthquake damage and long process of recovery. We keep running our arts and solidarity project for kids and youth.

We run both a volunteer center and a community center where we work with local children and youth. At the Suncokret community center we provide after school programs for the local children in the community (from Bosnian Croat refugee and Serb returnee families) where we provide everything from educational activities, tutoring, homework help to games, sports, fun and creative workshops. We also conduct sustainability awareness activities, eco gardening and maintaining our organic gardens and orchards and conduct eco construction on occasion.

At the moment we are in partnership running the following:

Suncokret Center for Community Development: afterschool non formal learning activities, arts, crafts, sports, games and play for children and youth

Kids Earth Fund Croatia: arts and crafts for children and youth, eco gardening and eco/sustainability activities

Vrginmost, Topusko, Glina: working with persons affected by the earthquakes, creating a children's and youth program with arts, crafts, dance, and sports . Visiting elderly temporarily displaced due to the earthquakes.

Suncokret runs a solidarity project ""Fill in the Gap to Recover our Space" which is a local recovery program through solidarity, empowerment and sustainable volunteer development. Suncokret also conducts activities for children and youth that otherwise would not be available in them. We conduct afterschool non formal learning activities, arts, crafts, sports, games, play, international summer volunteer camps and community wide actions.

KIDS EARTH FUND Croatia provides free arts and eco activities for children and youth in an isolated and economically depressed rural postwar area. Our program assists a multiethnic postwar community to recover and strengthen social inclusion and provides stimulating activities for children and youth. We use art as a medium for healing, connecting, educating, and building bonds of tolerance and friendship between children and youth, peoples and cultures.

At KIDS EARTH HOME Croatia we hold arts and non formal education activities for socially excluded children. We have created eco gardens and orchards, solar showers, compost toilets and solar dehydrator. We also hold environmental protection workshops, eco gardening and sustainable construction workshops and each year host over 100 international volunteers. Times are challenging at the moment and we ask for your support to keep our center open. We will use the funds to continue to provide arts workshops and provide the local children with art activities to promote social inclusion and improve their quality of life.
