Covid Recovery & Kidney Transplant for Papa

My father, Arnel Talban, was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease in 2017. It was due to his battle with diabetes for over 20 years and as a result, his kidneys were permanently damaged. He was advised to undergo dialysis treatment for thrice a week which costs 3,000 php per session / 9,000 php a week. On top of that, he also needs lifetime medication. Recently, he is consistently going in and out of the hospital due to several complications and as of now, he is confined at Metropolitan Hospital as he contracted Covid. We cannot afford to pay for hospital bill as he is no longer working and his wife is just a volunteer teacher.

We are looking forward to have his transplant as soon as possible as complications are inevitable and he is vulnerable to any illness. We are hoping and looking forward to avail the discounted price for his kidney transplant but unfortunately, due to Philhealth issues, we are uncertain and there is no assurance that we would be able to make use of it. It has also been informed to us that Philhealth dialysis treatment will no longer be available after September 15.

As a daughter, it is heartbreaking to see my father in such situation. We still want to be with him and see him live his life to the fullest. We appreciate your help and prayers too! God bless us!
