Kidney Transplant Fee For Dear Brother

Hi everyone, I'm Nabilah Mohammad from Terengganu, Malaysia. This is my dear brother, Muhamad Syahmi Mohammad.

Last January he was diagnosed with final stage acute kidney disease (AKD). At that time he just about to get his new job as Medical Assistant at one of clinic inside Berjaya Times Square. During the medical examinations, one of the doctors told him that he need to go to the nearest hospital because his level of creatinine level is too high, around 1+++, while the normal one about 100 umol/L. His blood pressure also high, around 200/**.

He was then got admitted into Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) and doctor suspected that he got Acute Kidney Injury (AKI).Unfotunately, after few days stay at the hospital, doctor make the abdominal scan and found out that the both kidneys has shrink in size, about 8 cm (normal male kidney size is 11 cm).

Since then he was doing hemodialysis 3 times a week at Hospital Machang, Kelantan. Everyday my brother seem to lose hope and faith. He start telling that he cannot sleep and having difficult in breathing. He also lost 10 kg body weight within 4 months. His stomach also hurt so much. After the fistula, he said to my mother that died is better than this illness. Its breaks my heart.

I wanna help him but I only work as clerk at one of private company and we dont have money since my father was retired and my mother didn't work.

My mother willingly want to give one of kidney to my brother, but because we don't have much money, we have to wait a year or more to make the transplant happen. If possible, I want my brother undergoes transplant surgery as soon as possible, so that he can sleep and breath well. He also still young, 23 years old, yet he just stay at home and facing the illness.

The reason why I really need this donation is because I want to bring my brother to the one of private hospital, Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM). Estimated fee for kidney transplant at private sector in Malaysia is RM 200,000 (around 50K usd).

I hope that this donation can change my brother life, he get his dream job back, get married and enjoy this life happily. Im sorry if I ask too much, seeing our loved one in pain is such a burden.
