kidney transplant + dialysis

Here we are, trying to make our miracle happen....

My friend needs a kidney transplant and also to pay for peritoneal dialysis because hemodialysis is not working. He was placed on peritoneal dialysis but the hospital uninstalled it because his insurance doesn’t cover surgeries, only emergency. The only way was to pay 26,000 euros per year (!!!) to continue peritoneal dialysis, and also for his treatments, and before and after surgery medication.

His schooling is on hold due to weakness, lack of appetite, dizziness, high level of creatinine (1521) and a very high blood pressure (220/130).

He is a second year student, and he has sold practically everything he has to pay for hemodialysis, but still not enough. Emmanuel is just one student out of thousands, but he may never finish University if we can't pay for his treatments. Besides, he has no place neither in hospital nor in student residence halls....

I've waited a long time, too much, to dare to ask for help. But now I want to trust in the goodness of people more than ever, because, for us as well as for many others, it is our only hope....
