Ranel’s Kidney Transplant-Save Life!

I am Ranel P. Pelayo,33 years old and a public school teacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ranulfo P. Pelayo and currently residing at San Vicente 2,Balite,Villaba,Leyte Philippines.For the past few years, I was so blessed because the Department of Education-Division of Leyte gave me an opportunity to get a stable or permanent job as a public school teacher at Capoocan District last July 1,2015.I was overwhelmed and so inspired to teach our young Filipino learners because when I was young it is my dream and ambition in life to become a teacher and mentor where I will be the instrument to develop their mental or knowledge ,skills, attitude or values and the hidden talents in order for them to be productive and competitive globally.

As a teacher,I work hard and follow the policies and regulations of a teacher such as making daily lesson plan,creating instructional materials or visual aids and studying all academic subjects for the mastery of the lessons.Teaching profession is the noblest of all professions where teaching is very crucial and many sided tasks.Inspite of having overworkload and very busy in teaching,I forgot to take good care of myself.I gave my whole life in my teaching profession that I sometimes forgot to eat my dinner.Despite of having tiredness and overfatigue of my work,I don't have enough time to prepare and cook my food without proper nutrition and unhealthy foods such as: canned goods,noodles and ready to eat or processed foods.

In God's will, they informed that I will be transferred in my hometown or station in Balite Elementary School-Villaba South District within the month of September 2018.Unfortunately, a week before releasing my Special Order to my homestation, I noticed that in my parts of my body there were legs enlargement,I felt difficulty in breathing associated with extreme pain at the lower side up to back of my abdomen.I was rushed of my sister to Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center Tacloban City.I was admitted to the said hospital wherein I underwent X-Ray, Ultrasound,ECG, Blood testing and Urinalysis.As per result of the examination, I was diagnosed of having Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5.

While in the hospital, I uderwent hemodialysis treatment for 2 times a week in Tacloban Dialysis Care Incorporated.I kept on crying and almost lost hoped in my situation.I did not expect that my life will be changed and it will lead into circumstances and depression.One time, I woke up early in the morning with a smile and no hatred and regrets in my heart.One name that came up in my mind and that was Jesus,our Saviour and our Almighty God.For my second life and second chance to live, I keep on praying and having faith in God that there is a purpose why God gave me second chance to live in this wonderful and beautiful world.I believe the Purpose Driven and there's always a Hope while there is Life.

Being the second child of my family with stable job.I'm one of the providers of all the basic needs of the large family in support of my father whose incomed derived from scale fishing is very much insufficient for family's necessities.

I am seeking for assistance and other support services being recommended of my physician for my Kidney Transplant at National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Manila.In this I found difficulty in shouldering alone sustainance of high costs prescribed medicines and for my upcoming kidney transplant for recovery.
