Please help me get Kidney transplant

Please allow me to introduce myself.

I am from Isabela, Philippines, and my name is Precious Benitez. I'm deaf. I just wanted to talk about myself and how I ended up with chronic kidney disease today.

I look like I did when I was normal and healthy in this picture. One of the best days of my life was this one. In college, I wore my first uniform, and I was awarded a full-ride scholarship for the first time. I never regretted pursuing my dream of enrolling in a highly esteemed college. Unfortunately, I had to stop in my third year of college due to illness, which prevented me from finishing my studies and earning my degree from this institution. When one of my classmates said, "My face pales," I had no idea why I had become ill. When I made the decision to visit the hospital to see my doctor, I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, or kidney failure.

I didn't think I was okay, but I didn't because my doctor told me I needed to start dialysis or risk going into a coma, having seizures, or even passing away. My heart is broken by it. Dialysis is my only option. (this picture shows my first left lower lobe catheter left on neck).

After five months of having a LJ catheter changed to a fistula on my arm, I had to start going to dialysis three times a week. I had to work hard to control what I ate and drank, exercise, and take my medications as prescribed, but sadly, my doctor informed me that my kidneys would never function again and that all I would need to do is get a kidney transplant if I didn't want to live a lifetime on dialysis.

I felt sad and devastated, and my hope shattered me at the same time after my husband left me because of his infidelity and neglect. The world was upside down for me. I battled depression for as long as I can remember, and after 6 years, I tried to get up, and I did not give up but to fight with my sickness that I wanted to go all back.

I decided to write on GoGetFunding today, and I hope to touch some of your generous souls. I'm requesting assistance for my kidney transplant, which I have to have done as soon as possible because the longer I go without dialysis, the more complications I risk developing. This was difficult for me because of all the unpleasant experiences I had to endure, including having to sit in chairs and use machines for 4 hours every 3 weeks for dialysis. It has been for me for 6 years of dialysis, and I hope this GogGetFunding will help me from the bottom of your hearts.

All I want is to have my life back. My goal is to return to a regular life. Even at my young age of 31, I have a lot of life left to live. Dialysis is really difficult, so I would like to stop going. Three times a week, I spend four hours per day seated in a chair! The injections and needles are huge and painful, and they are given three times a week.

I'm doing all of these things because I don't want to give up. This is my last chance to live a normal life, so with your help alone, I'm hoping and praying that everything will get better soon.
