I (Mary June Alonzo) and my sister (Mary Joy Mendoza), created this on behalf of our eldest sister (Mary Gold Solis) and her husband (Arwin Solis), Kian’s parents. Our nephew, Zer Kian Josh, was born on May 19, 2018. He has shown symptoms of Jaundice on his 2nd week after birth. With all numerous check-ups, blood tests, and laboratory work-ups, his pediatric gastroenterologist advised him to get a liver biopsy. He was then diagnosed with biliary atresia (BA), a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants. He is only seven months old and it broke our hearts when we were told that he needs to undergo liver transplant by March 2019 in order to survive this rare disease.
The cost of liver transplant here in the Philippines ranges from 3.5 to 5 million pesos not including the preoperative and postoperative expenses. We were informed, however, that liver transplant is around 2 million pesos in India with a high success rate.
We are hoping to bring Kian to India as soon as possible for immediate transplant as his liver may fail soon. We create this page to humbly knock on your good heart to reach out for your support to raise the amount needed for his surgery. Any amount will truly go a long way.
He is too young, We LOVE him and we will FIGHT for his life.
Please help us save our nephew, Baby Kian. Help us fight this rare disease. Thank you and may God bless you and your family
