The Keshero elementary school is one of the oldest in the city of Goma. It is located at the South end of Goma airport. The majority of students who study there today are either from very vulnerable families or from orphans living in modest foster families. Here not only the parents rarely pay the premium of the teachers, but also the buildings are in a very advanced wear situation.

Around 1900, Goma had contacts with the German colonizers. In 1906, the post of Goma was created in front of the German post of Gisenyi in Rwanda, to play the military role and later, a civil State Office.

On the educational level two official schools for whites were already operating in Goma, the one known as "Ecole Royale, the present Institute of Goma (INSTIGO) and the primary school of application of the Goma Institute (EPAIGO). For the blacks, a school was reserved for them, it is Saint André, the current Primary School KESHERO.

The school has very sketchy means, it is in very poor condition and requires work. The premises are unsuitable, missing material and its 440 pupils supervised by 16 teachers can find themselves on the street if nothing is done.

Two education projects of extreme urgency:

Project 1: guaranteeing a good quality of basic education for children by ensuring punctuality and assiduity for the continuity of learning:

• Participation in teachers' premiums (salaries) for their motivation,
• Participation in tuition fees for children orphaned, poor or handicapped (135 pupils),
• Participation in the purchase of educational and pedagogical materials for the teaching and accompaniment of young children.

Project 2: renovation of classrooms and protection of buildings of the Keshero elementary school, a historical heritage to be saved as far as possible.
