My father, Kerry O'Neill, has sadly passed away from a heart attack. His passing can partially be attributed to his dependency to alcohol, a demon which he fought for many years, unfortunately without ever being able to overcome his addiction.

I am starting this fund to raise donations for the Addictions Care Center of Albany (theacca.net) Since 1967, the ACCA has been anchored in the community, and helps over 10,000 people who are battling addiction each year.

Thank you in advance for your help and consideration for those among us who suffer from addiction.

  • Also an ‘83 graduate of USMMA and a classmate of Kerry. Also an alcoholic. Today is 999 days sober for me and no way do I make it this far without the help of loved ones and support of programs like this. There but by the grace of God...

  • Alba, Kevin and Kelly, I am so sorry to hear of Kerry’s passing. I wish I could be back in Chateaugay for the day. Each of the O’Neill boys took us younger cousins under their wings. Kerry agreed to be my pen pal when I was in 6th grade. How exciting it was to receive mail from Korea! My thoughts are with you all. 💛 Diane Dame

  • Alba, I was absolutely heartbroken this morning when I heard about your dad. I was lucky enough to work with Kerry in Shanghai over the last 4 years, and found that he was one of the kindest, most generous, and fun people I’ve ever had the pleasure to call a friend. I have only fantastic memories of your dad, as I know so many others will, there was never a dull moment. Please accept our heartfelt condolences to you and the family at this time. Danny, Jaoui and Miles.

  • Alba, we were really sorry to hear about the passing of Kerry and the loss that you and your family have encountered. It was such sad news to hear. Having known Kerry for the past 4 years, whilst I was working in Korea and Shanghai with him, he was such a great person to know from day one. Kerry had a remarkable sense of humour, such a warm and kind heart, and coupled with that infectious smile and laugh it was an honour to have known him. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. With our deepest sympathy, Chris, Migyoung and Jeesu. X

  • I knew Kerry from our projects in Korea. Very funny guy and great company. He always brought more cheer to the moment whether you were sad or happy. Full of great advice and excellent knowledge on the job. Sad loss indeed.

  • So sorry for your loss Alba (and also to Kerrys brothers and family) . I've known your dad since 2008, and had the good fortune to work with him for 2yrs in Shanghai. Genuinely one of the nicest blokes I've ever met, and it's tragic we won't see him again, although the memories will most certainly live long. RIP Kerry Bryan and Miae
