Kerri’s Lifesaving surgery

Kerri is my younger sister. For years she has been on the chubby side.

She has tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING to lose weight. She has been bullied her whole life and finally has gotten used to the fact that she is a big girl. For the last two years her weight has stayed stable and she hasn't put on any weight and over the last 3 weeks she has lost and managed to keep off 9kg's. We always thought that she was just another "fat" person, At least I did and I have become very ashamed of my thoughts, not knowing any better and being extremely ignorant. I want to give something back to her if I can...

She was bullied as a youngster and our mom has always told me that she thought Kerri has Poly cystic ovarian syndrome, She's been to Dr after Dr and finally its been diagnosed. This has the chance of being fixed with the surgery she so badly needs.

She has been through rigorous tests to ensure that she can go through this surgery and the Dr's have told her that with her BMI being over 36 that she is the perfect candidate for Gastric Bypass surgery. In fact not only is she is an ideal candidate but if she doesn't have this her life is in grave danger. She is perfectly healthy in other ways and her liver, kidney and blood tests are perfect - For a bigger lady this is great to see.

I love my sister dearly and have had to see her deal with so much in her life.

Kerri is a beautiful girl and we need approx $15,000 for her surgery which is in 8 days. I am praying for a miracle and perhaps that came in the way of someone suggesting creating this fund raising appeal.

I want to see my sister happy but most of all healthy. This is a huge expense for our family and I would love for those out there with a big heart and a bit of cash to help us out.

If she has the surgery this is guaranteed to sort out her PCOS so this is the part that I am most happy about.

She is the brightest, most amazing person I know and I want the best in the world for her.
