Kenyon's Promise came out of a Vision i had after he was brutally murdered in 2009 , he was 18 yrs old . Kenyon alway's Promised that he would do his best , graduate and stay out of trouble ,and before his death he planned on enrolling in a trade school ,Kenyon was very passionate about basketball and so Kenyon's Promise developed out of many discussions on how we could keep his memory alive and give back to the community while promoting non-violence. Our mission is to Empower Lancaster City youth to develop into productive citizens and motivated change agents. Part of our vision is to give direction to the youth of lancaster City , Kenyon's Promise is more than a Basketbally Tournament , we are driven to assist our youth and help them reach their potential of success. So i am asking for donations to assist with Kenyon's Promise Stop the Violence 3 on 3 BasketBall Tournament because this tournament is FREE to the community. Lancaster Recreation Center has donated to the use of Brandon Park to us on July 26 2014 , we have 4 full courts and with us playing a 3 on 3 that means 8 courts playing at 1 time , we give away t-shirts to each team and trophies to the winning team and we seek donations for this . And since we are expanding this year that means we need more donation's . This is our 5th year and we are honored to give back. "Kenyon's Promise " has a page with highlights on FaceBook with pictures from previous year's. I would be so ever Grateful for whatever you are led to donate to make this a Success for Lancaster Pa.
