In June 2016, I will be travelling to Nakuru, Kenya with Younite Outreach Project to carry out volunteering work, supporting orphans and disadvantaged children at two schools (Melon Mission and Silver Bells). Both schools provide two cooked meals a day for every child, clothing and an education regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender. They are solely run by the generosity of volunteers who support the schools by donations or by directly volunteering. It is therefore essential that they receive donations to enable them to make a difference to the orphans and impoverished children.
I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your help to contribute to their life changing project. I need to raise £1,500. The money I raise will be split into two halves. One-half will be donated to the two schools to help further improve their classroom facilities and pay towards other resources that the schools may need at the time. The other half will go towards the cost of my travelling to Kenya. Last year the project improved toilet facilities, implemented a water storage system and improve security around the projects.
As many of you know, I am currently at University studying to become a Primary School Teacher. I believe that this will not only be a fantastic experience for myself, teaching the children, working alongside other members of staff and providing support to the children and staff wherever it may be needed, but more importantly, it will also enable me to make a positive contribution towards these destitute children.
Thank you for your support and any donation is much appreciated.
