Send Kent to ABT Summer Intensive at the Univ. of CA, Irvine

Hi Everyone,

I received a partial scholarship to attend the 3-week American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Summer Intensive at the University of California, Irvine this summer. The scholarship only covers half of my ABT tuition and I am asking that you consider supporting me and my ballet journey.

I am 14 years old and have been a student at the ABT Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy (JKO) school for the last four years in the Children's division until this spring when I was promoted into the Pre-Professional program. In the fall I will return to the JKO school 5 nights a week on scholarship.

When I was 11 and 12, I was the child Nutcracker Prince in the 2013 and 2014 productions of the ABT Nutcracker in New York. (Here is a New York Times review that mentions me by name.) I have also performed at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center in several ABT productions: Le Corsaire (2013), Sleeping Beauty (2015), and Romeo and Juliet (2016).

I am trying to raise $3,996 to cover the rest of my ABT costs and travel costs:

• $700 - tuition (I got a 50% scholarship)
• $1,950 - room and board
• $1,346 - airfare from NYC to L.A. (3 airplane tickets, letting a parent take me and bring me back)

I am very serious about ballet and I want to be a professional ballet dancer as soon as possible. Thank you for considering my request for support in any amount.
