Hi, my name is Kenneth Yee and I am an Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) athlete. My ambition is to represent Malaysia and compete at the Spartan World Championship in the United States this September.
I wasn’t this focused in the past. Whilst I have completed my Physiotherapy diploma, I had a lot of self- doubt about turning this into a career. Standing at this crossroad in life, I turned to OCR.
Training for OCR has sharpened my focus and drive. Having had a successful season so far in 2018, in which I became an Ambassador for Spartan Races SEA, Fit Four and Merrell, and ranked 1st in the SEA Spartan series in the age category of 18 to 24, I achieved the selection criteria to compete at the upcoming Spartan World Championship Race in Lake Tahoe, Sierra Nevada USA this coming September.
Currently, I am working as a part-time trainer at F45 KLCC to help raise funds to compete in the upcoming race and achieve my dreams. But I am still short of funds and I am now looking to raise RM15,000 (USD3,700) so that I can represent Malaysia and wave the Jalur Gemilang in September.
Any donations, big or small will help me so much! It would be great if you could share my page and help give me a chance of getting to the World Championships, and making the nation proud.
As my way of giving back to the community, I will conduct community workouts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (my home base) for individuals aspiring to participate in their first Spartan Race in Malaysia and beyond.
Funds List
- Flight (RM 4000.00)
- Transport, Accomodation, Food (RM 11000.00)
Yours Sincerely,
Kenneth Yee
