Ken and Emily’s Jamaica Mission Trip 2014

Dear Friends,

We are writing to share with you an exciting opportunity that Emily and I have been given to go on a mission trip to Jamaica this July with our youth group at LowCountry Community Church. When you think of Jamaica you may think of luxury resorts and soaking up the sun while sipping on a cool drink! However, our experience will be quite the opposite as we will be working with people who live in abject poverty. While in Jamaica, we will be serving on work projects, working with children, hosting sports camps & Vacation Bible Schools, and ministering in churches and communities nearby.Our goal is to serve the people of Jamaica, to build relationships with the students, and to share the love of Christ.

We ask for prayers for our team, as well as Emily and myself, that we would be unified in spirit and humble in service. Also, please pray for the people of Jamaica, that we would present a clear testimony of Jesus through our words and our actions. The cost of the trip is $1,425 per person and is due by the middle of June. We will participate in fundraisers, but we are also sending this letter to friends and family in hopes that those of you who feel led will send even just a small amount.
