Amid the uncertainties of last week, it was easier to just imagine the worst to happen. But in little and big ways each day, God has brought us angels to remind us of His faithfulness and provision, and that He is in full control. You, along with the many prayer warriors who surrounded us during this time, are these angels.
Papa has now just completed his ICD procedure, and in 2 days or so, he will go out of this hospital with a "shield" on his heart reminding him of your overwhelming support and love. And also to take care of himself better.
We do not know how we could repay all of you, but we lift a prayer for you all.. may you be blessed a hundredfold.
At this time, we have received more than what we have expected, and shall be closing this fund. Again, our sincerest thanks for everything. We love you all.

Hello Family and Friends,
Last Thursday, our Papa Josefino 'Joey' Pangilinan, gave us the biggest scare! While accompanying our youngest in her enrollment in UST, he was rushed to the ER, had a seizure, which was soon followed by a cardiac arrest.. Thankfully, there was not a second of delay that moment to get him the appropriate care, and he is now on his way to recovery.
He does need one more thing to protect his heart -- and to prevent our worst fear, from happening. Papa needs an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD). His condition is called Brugada Syndrome, and simply put, it means that his heart can just stop or beat very weakly at any time. This condition often doesn't come with any noticeable symptoms, which is why we can only be at ease if we can get him the procedure he needs.
Having stayed at the hospital for almost 1 week now (first 2 days of which, at the ICU), we have incurred a significant amount on hospital expenses already. He also needs to undergo angiogram and a possible angioplasty to get him in the clear, prior to the ICD implantation which the doctor has quoted for about Php800,000. We are lucky to have the medical provider cover a portion of the expenses; unfortunately, we need to raise an amount to cover the rest of the bills. With this, we would like to humbly knock on your kind hearts for any financial assistance you can extend to keep Joey's heart beating. With your help and with God's grace, we are hoping to make his 'second chance' last.
From our entire family, THANK YOU!
