Keeping our boss’s dream (for a simple but genuine burger) alive.

Dear burger lovers,

Hi, we are a bunch of guys, whom you may be familiar with, from De Burg.

We're trying to raise funds to keep alive the passion of serving you great food (burgers, especially!) at reasonable prices.

Perhaps you or your friends have tried our food before, and appreciate the honest-to-goodness taste and love that we pour into our craft.

Sadly, though, our ex-boss has had to surrender his passion and took an exit from De Burg, which has now closed...

It was his dream of a proper burger in Singapore for people like you to enjoy and savour. But, plagued with problems due to the economy, he is no longer well and fit to carry on his vision. And we've decided to start out on our own to keep his vision and dreams going.

As people who also see and appreciate the value of good food and services (we also eat at other places, just like you, of course), we're trying to raise some funds (to open a shop and create a brand), in hopes of carrying on his dreams. And to continue having a place where Singaporeans like you and me (and of course, visitors to our sunny island) can enjoy a good meal.

For us, this is a way of thanking him for his guidance, and for you, to enjoy the cooking and serving you the great food and tradition that he has taught to us.

The funds raised will be put into the securing of a premise, within a humble coffeeshop, and purchasing of kitchen equipment.

Given the cost of starting a business, especially a food business, you might have already figured out that we're not asking for an astronomical few hundred thousands, but just $25,000 for us to get the necessities.

Any amount, no matter how small, you can give, is greatly appreciated. This will go towards giving you, your family and friends, a great place to eat and be merry.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and hope to be able to open soon to serve you more great and honest burgers!
