Keeping Kids In School

Keeping Kids In School is a fund raising page to help provide immediate assistance with school supplies and equipment for children in needs.

A little bit of background with the organization I am involving in Hanoi, Vietnam. With the country slowly opening up again, children from the ages of 8-17 can eventually go back to school. Most of these kids don’t have any transportation means to and from school. Your donation will go directly to purchases of used bicycles and other school supplies for these children, which will provide pedals and support to help them get to school.

With the fund donated, I am dedicated and committed to buy from the local vendors to contribute to the local economy. Your contribution will not only help Keep Kids In School but also support local businesses to thrive in the ongoing pandemic.

My Story on how I got involved

I was fortunate to meet one of Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation staffs in regards to my donation to a Han, a young girl and Huy, her brother. The foundation was was able utilize my fund to purchase the listed items and donated to the family. Seeing my small contribution was able to help one family, I’m now asking for supports so I can help more kids like Han and Huy. Hôm qua đến thăm nhà một bé gái 12 tuổi. Trong căn nhà trọ nhỏ em ngủ chung giường với bố và em trai, mẹ bỏ đi từ khi em còn rất nhỏ. Trong nhà chỉ có chiếc quạt mất lồng và chiếc tủ sắt đựng quần áo méo mó siêu vẹo.

Mình đang tìm xin cho bé:
1 chiếc giường tầng để bé có không gian an toàn cho bé
2 chiếc chăn, ga, gối mùa đông
1 Tủ nhựa đựng quần áo
1 chiếc xe đạp cỡ vừa để đi học tại Blue Dragon hoặc tại trường học
1 chiếc bàn học nhỏ

English translation:

I went to a 12 years old girl’s home yesterday. In a very small house, she sleeps with her father and younger brother. Her mom left when she was young. The house only has a broken fan and a twisted wardrobe.

I’m asking for these items to support the siblings:

-Bunk bed so the brother and sister can have their own bed

-Beddings

-Wardrobes: Clothes

- Bicycles

- Small study table
