Campaign Story
This is Jack.
Jack is an 8-year-old (or something) Bombay. He's a handsome fella. And sometimes, a little weird.
Jack, being a neutered male, unfortunately, has some urinary tract problem.
In the middle of August, he had some crystals form and a lot of blockage, which caused him to be hospitalized for four days. They inserted a catheter, put him on IV fluids, and $2200 later, he got better. This wasn't an issue, as I landed a pretty well-paying job this year, and could handle the unexpected cost.
The first time this happened, the vet said they can do a surgery that generally circumvents the problem of the crystals. Unfortunately, it's very expensive. I hoped that it wouldn't come to this. Jack acted like his normal self for a little while.
Six weeks later, Jack started acting strange, again. I'd taken him off dry kibble, bought a Cat Mate water fountain (to encourage him to drink more water) ,using only purified water and yet, he was acting like he was having crystals again.
I was devastated. There was no way that I could afford this surgery. I took him to the clinic, fully expecting to have to put him down.
The Doctor on duty told me that he'd done this type of surgery before, and could do it at a greatly reduced cost. I agreed, because I wanted to do everything I could to ensure that Jack stayed alive.
The surgery was successful and Jack is recovering, nicely.
Thank you!

My mother had a cat (also all black) who had this same surgery. He recovered amazingly and lived to be 20. I hope the same for your baby!

Hoping the worse is over and Jack can finally recover feeling his ol’ self again. Black kitties are the bestest. Love, Cupcake (black kitty) & Heather
