Keeping a loving relationship in Australia

My partner and I met over a year ago, whilst I was on holiday in Australia. For me, he captured me at first sight and I just couldn't get enough of his personality. Time flew by and I had to head back to the UK for work commitments but I said I would be back.

We continued our relationship long distance, thanks to the technology we have today. But I decided to give everything up to return to him, so after 8 months I booked my flight and got a working holiday visa and went back.

6 months in and our relationship is getting better by the day. Here have been a few struggles with me getting work, as my visa only allows me to work for a selected amount of time with each employer and for the job I am trained to do, I need to be a resident. But I am just working where ever I can, in jobs I am over qualified for but I am willing to stick it out as my free time with him is worth it.

Now we are starting to think about the future and for me to stay, we will need to apply for our relationship visa. But the visa is at a cost of $7000 and currently we are already struggling as he is the main bread winner and I am only getting odd shifts in different jobs. So we are putting it out there and asking for help.
