What we need:
I am trying to keep my son and I in Michigan to be close to his dad. If I leave my ex will initiate a legal battle to keep him here, but my son and I have been here 1 year and I still haven't found stable income. I need cash flow. I need a full-time salary position and if I'm lucky, maybe a few people would like to purchase my journal "Moments of Love" on Lulu.com?
"Moments of Love" is a movement to remember, share and give more love. With love there can be no fear. Capture your memories of love with this pocket-sized journal; write them down and enjoy them. Each page starts with a loving, inspirational quote from visionaries such as Rumi, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Marianne Williamson, Mother Teresa, Dalai Lama and much more. Every day, dedicate a time, wherever you are in the world, to stop and remember your heart-felt "Moments of Love."Give to yourself or someone you love. Price: $9.99

Who am I:
My name is Melanie. I am a divorced mom of one 6 year old boy; an amazing little guy, AKA The Blue Ranger (in the photo). We moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan from MA/NH, so that my son could be close to his dad for a job promotion that he accepted here. When his dad left, I resigned from my job in Boston (as a Fitness Director) because I couldn't handle the hour and a half commute each way, plus a full day of work on daycare hours.
So, we moved to New Hampshire to be with family, where I am originally from. Long story short, it was incredibly hard and sad with his dad gone. I decided to move out here because I didn't want to see my ex have to give up this opportunity and I thought I could find work here (relatively) easily. In hinesight, I would of done many things differently, but I still want the best for my son and that is to have both of his parents who love him in his life.
Why support us:
There are so many people who need help. I don't believe that we should be at the top of this list, but I do believe I can and will give back, with interest, everything that has been done for me. My son and I have amazing people in our lives right now, including my family. My mom has given me the "shirt off of her back" this past year and friends continue to amaze me by offering their support and love. We are staying with a family now, but it's not a long-term option. The best case scenario would be for me to find stable income and get another place here.
