Keep the sound at 7 Pounds

Stroll into 7 Pounds on any day of the week and you'll always be welcomed by Jet, the owner, as he finishes writing a song, editing a video or having a laugh with friends. Creating a space of artistic freedom is his current devotion which is what makes his bar so unique and loved. 7 Pounds is a place where songwriters and performers from Chiang Mai, as well as visitors from around the world, can express original content amongst a supportive community.

For the past 10 years this venue has captured the attention of music lovers around Chiang Mai which means a cycle of more music, more genres and a growing audience. Because of its rustic design and open concept, the sound usually carries around the neighborhood which has become somewhat of an issue.

7 Pounds will need to turn down or turn off and we plan to do neither, but we need assistance in building a more sound conducive establishment so that we can continue to share our joint passion for music.

The funds raised will be used to help renovate the building that must be put into progress by March 29th. There will be a fundraiser concert on March 21st with live music. We hope that these efforts will assist us in our goal to keep 7 Pounds around for good!
