Hello,

I am trying to raise money to help a friend of mine in his time of need. My friend Eric just received immediate custody of his four children (ages 10, 8, 7, and 5) Monday, September 30, 2013 which was initiated by the state. The children were taken from their mother as a result of her being arrested. Eric later found out through child protective service that the mother of his children had been involved in some illegal activity and that they would go into child protective service if he didn’t step in. After the child protective service interviewed each of the children they also found out some other information as well that was devastating to Eric, as well as other family members and friends. For example, the children were being locked in a house by themselves with no adult supervision to watch over or care for them. The children mentioned how they didn’t have food to eat some days and were hungry. As a result, the oldest two would try to find food for themselves and siblings.

Eric, the father, was living out of state at the time and had to move back to Delaware immediately for the children. As a result, they currently do not have a place to call home. The state of Delaware has been paying for Eric and the children to stay in a motel until he can find another job and housing. We all know a motel is no place for a family to live. The state has been helping and doing everything they can to provide assistance to this family during their time of need. However, the time is ticking and they have to found housing quickly. I have been helping doing the best I can by taking the children to school and picking them up along with my three children. While Eric children are in school he has been proactively looking for a job and housing for his family. Needless to say it has been a very difficult task. I have also been searching for housing rentals for them as well.

Eric and his family are in need of so much and would appreciate anything you can do or donate to help keep their family together. They currently need everything at this time. They pretty much have to start over from scratch. The children mother has all their things (clothes, jackets, toys etc…) in storage.

Eric has no way of knowing what storage provider or unit there things are even at. The school they attend requires them to wear uniforms so Eric has been washing them for the kids and they have been wearing their uniforms since he received custody of them (the also each have one outfit a piece outside of their uniforms). I hate to see any child go through this especially at such a young age. Please donate what you can to help keep this family together. The state has agreed to pay the first month rent to the landlord on their behalf with the conditions of Eric obtaining a job locally. If the remainder of the requirements from the state is not meet then the kids will be placed in the system and possibly split up. Please help me avoid this from happening.

Any amount that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated by me, Eric and his four children. Your donations will go towards shelter, clothing, food and the foundation of them building a new life together as a family. Eric is a great father and his children love him unconditionally. I commend him for dropping everything at the drop of the dime to be here for his children now and forever. Please remember to add Eric Sr. (father), Eric Jr. (10 yr old son), Heavvyn Giavanni (8 yr old daughter), Obadiah (7 yr old son) and Vick (5 yr old son) to your prayers.

“We all know that when prayers go up blessings come down.”
