Keep on publishing a Sake Magazine : UMAI 。 支持繼續出版日本酒食旅行誌：《UMAI Magazine》

社 長 的 話 : UMAI Magazine 的創刊

UMAI 團隊成員的年齡由22到65歲！不計外部協力的作家們，從最初共22人到今天的9人。四年下來出了41期紙本雜誌、網站文章372份、到過30多個酒蔵、專訪過28位蔵主、32位杜氏、近60位蔵人、21位廚師、19位日本商界朋友，介紹了96間餐廳，及無數的、從日本酒的材料、釀造、出荷、到市場營銷的知識資訊！而包括旅遊部在內、有五位同事完成了日本47都道府縣制霸！

編輯來自一群熱愛「日本酒」的年輕創新團隊，作者陣容來自五湖四海、十多個國家的朋友，他們有 Master of Wine、香港清酒供應商、日本酒資深導師、國際酒界競賽評審、蔵元、杜氏、清酒業界人士、美食家、旅遊達人、著名日本酒專欄作家、政府人員、更包括讀者來稿，大家都本著協助推廣日本清酒、日本文化與美食人情故事而努力。

五年前的春天，在我參與日本東京舉辦的清酒祭和分享會之後，不斷思索，為什麼香港每年入口這麼多日本清酒（已經不計台灣、澳門和中國大陸，按出口貨值計，香港在世界上排第二位），為何連一本中文的清酒雜誌也沒有？香港酒友怎樣可以多學點清酒「真相」、不用任人「宰割」？

於是，為了以華人味蕾去推廣日本清酒，我便決定出版一本以日本酒為主題的雜誌！而為了把一些深度的日本文化和資訊帶給華文讀者，對美味的讚嘆，遂取名 UMAI（美味い)、而不是 Oishii（美味しい)！

直至今天，在香港、台灣、澳門、國內、以至紐約、多倫多、溫哥華、倫敦、巴黎的唐人街也曾有過 UMAI 的蹤影，滿足了。我們沒有為推廣日本清酒而後悔。我更非常感激各同事和作者們四年來的幫助、和各讀者的支持！

逆流而上、捨易取難、明知不可為而為之的事從來艱難。41期下來，已耗盡分文、雖然推廣清酒的心不㓕、但到了下期（42期），已經是臨別之旅的最後一站。雖然不捨、也無他法。

同事發起這次眾籌，不管結果如何，我也感謝在香港的清酒路上有您，我並不孤單！

In 2016, Sake Promotion Association (SPA) proudly presented a monthly Japanese gourmet & beverage magazine 'UMAI' to meet the professional yet affluent clients and readers in Hong Kong. It is not only the first Hong Kong magazine that focus on Japanese Sake and Gourmet , but also aim at providing breakthroughs to the industry, and target readers ranging from professional to freshmen. "Umai tastes." editorial lineup by a team of Japanese Sake, F&B and travel experts, as the bridge between the service provider and the readers is our core motivation.

《Umai Magazine 嚐。日》是香港首本協助讀者透過文字，認識日本美酒旬食、享受人生的飲食月刊；也是香港第一本以「日本酒和食」為主題的雜誌。事實上，許多高質素的日本餐廳及飲食百貨店，都已經在香港紮根，多樣化及具特色的日本酒已被引進香港。我們編採陣容強大，由一眾國際美酒導師、行業專家和業內營運者撰稿，親自為大家提供跟日本同步的時令地酒食材資訊，為讀者作為箇中橋樑，透過飲食，引領大家好好了解日本酒和食物的背景文化及特質，專業地嚐日之味

If you say "YES," then you'll like our UMAI Magazine, the first Sake Magazine (also cover Japanese culture, F&B, in deep travel advise) that we're publishing, along with a website (www.UmaiMagazine.com) and eBook version.

We need to maintain it by offering the staffs and writers a reasonable fees and salaries. By maintaining the independent of editorial freedom, as well as to introduce our personal advise to our readers, actually we received less sponsorship or advertising support, those expenses were only given by our chairman himself during the last four years.

我們認為，儘管我們的團隊對日本清酒和文化都滿有熱忱，也感謝很多清酒老師和酒界朋友無償義助，但是也需要向同事和作家們提供合理的稿費和薪酬。 我們過去致力保持編輯自由的獨立性、以及向讀者介紹我們編輯的個人經驗和真心建議，但實際上，這令我們得到的讚助或廣告支持較少，所以，過去四年的所有營運費用均由我們的社長獨力支持。

Most of us still love printed words on paper to hold and read, to keep within reach, and to share with others. Yes, we increasingly turn to electronic devices for information and communication, but traditionally printed books remain strong and growing as ways we've entertained and inspired.

我們大多數人仍然喜歡閱讀紙本刊物上的文字圖片、觸碰紙張的質感、及與他人共享閱讀的樂趣。 是的，我們越來越多地使用電子設備來閱讀信息和通信，但是傳統印刷的實體書籍依然在持續地為我們帶來娛樂和啟發、這閱讀經驗是電子內容並不能滿足的。

That noted, we've chosen a first-stage fundraising goal that will be the subsidy for enabling us to finish the next 6 months basic business filings, continuing publishing the printed and e-version of UMAI Magazine, maintaining the UmaiMagazine.com, and keep working through the winter on contents for the magazine.

我們選擇了一個第一階段的籌款目標，該總額目標將會全數注入我們的營運基金作為津貼，使我們 能夠在未來 6個月繼續出版 UMAI Magazine （紙本和電子本）和網站營運， 並大幅增加深道日本食買玩深度遊的內容。

This initial funding goal will help us get the continuance of UMAI Magazine, so your help, large or small, will be a much appreciated investment in the promise of this passion of promoting Japanese Sake. If we cannot meet the funding goal, we will use the raised fund for maintaining the www.UmaiMagazine.com by the current staff.
