Help Nathan be able to continue in school

Nathan has just turned 18 but is still in school. We have tried to get financial help for him in the Netherlands, to be able to continue and finish his education. But no luck.

He will only get financial help with school costs if he has a so called "Verblijfsvergunning" which costs for him, a EU citizen around 300€.

Once he has this he can receive student funding as well as a travel card.

But as I don't have a job yet, and he hasn't (he isn't home until 16.30'ish!so when is he supposed to work ?) - he won't get any help, meaning he will have to give up his education completely, as the money for his health insurance and him getting to school isn't there.

It's only just enough for his health insurance.

So he will have to leave school and find a job without any decent schooling and not yet the best skills in dutch.

This kid had real dreams and wants to learn to have the best chance in the work world.

He did very well in the school he had just finished, but to sign up for the next part of his education we need help.

He has had serious health problems in the past, which slowed him down as he missed a lot of school time.

This is very unfair on him.

It upsets me so much knowing I can't do anything for him.

We try to raise money by selling old things on eBay whilst trying to find work for me which I am physically able to do, and my new husband works full time.I keep applying for jobs, but do far no joy.

You would help a fantastic, smart, caring and loving child be the best he can be and to have a better future.

He deserves it.

Please help us help him.
