Please help me keep my house

In 2009 my fiancee ran off with another woman coming back to the house only to collect his belongings and to sign the house over to me. There was (and still is) a mortgage and secured loan attached to this house. I took all of that on, on the understanding that I was now the owner of the house. And I have been paying it - sometimes I've gone without much food at the end of the month cos it's been a tight month for example once lunch at work was just some Value Tesco Carrots chopped up. I don't go out I get up go to work, go home, go to bed repeat. Weekends I spend it walking in the villages near where I live so I don't spend anything. Please don't think this is a case of someone living beyond their means.

Last year he came out of the woodwork and said he never signed the house over to me and that he can't remember signing the form. I'm now having to defend something that I know he signed and we've managed to track down the witness etc but solictiors don't come cheap! I can't afford to be paying for them on top of my normal bills. I just want this settled and the judge to tell him to go away and that the house is legally mine. It was my solitude when my 2 babies died, when my mum died and when I was assualted. I can't let him take this away from me. I know I have a bloody case.

You have no idea how embarrassed I am writing this and am actually sat at work whilst I write this trying not to cry (and failing!). I have never had to ask people like this before and I feel so low and embarrassed that I am.

Please can someone help me. I have no idea how much I'm going to have to pay so have just put a random amount in. If I win I get some of this back. So I'm prepared to donate anything I have left over or get back to a charity such as Help for Heroes or a childs cancer charity (cancer took my mum in 2011 so is close to my heart).
