Keep Fish Hook Afloat

Dear Loyal Patrons of Fish Hook,

As per the Government of South Africa, we have been closed since 27 March 2020 and remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the National Lockdown (set to end 1 May 2020).

As we are unable to trade, we haven't been earning an income and are trying our best to pay our staff their salaries. Our landlord has insisted that we pay our rent in order to retain the store. Without notification or explanation, our electricity was turned off sometime in the past two and a half weeks and as a result, thousands of rands worth of stock has spoiled and gone to waste.

As we are a small independent family business, providing traditional fish and chips for the past 10 years to not only the surrounding communities and the neighbourhood of Darrenwood but to patrons as far as Pretoria, we are asking the public for help in keeping Fish Hook afloat.

Reaching our goal would mean that we can pay rent, staff salaries and suppliers. It will also ensure that we are prepared and will have sufficient inventory when we reopen, once the lockdown has been lifted.

Any donations would be most appreciated, so that we can continue to serve the best fish and chips in Joburg to you, our loyal patrons and future Fish Hook friends.
