Keep Chepang Kids Warm this Freezing Winter !

Story Began when I visited Chepang village last year winter. Most I Noticed in the village is Cracking hand and shaking body of Chepang kids without Jacket on the body on that freezing winter.
This year winter began and still those cracked hands and shaking body of chepang kinds click on my mind every time when I wear my jacket. Yesterday we had regular meeting of our social origination “Sahayogi Sansar”, I was getting ready to attend meeting, when I wear my jacket I decided to propose jackets and trouser for those 200 kinds of chepang village. My proposal for distributing jackets and trouser for those kinds this winter, immediately was accepted and fund of NPR 100,000 ( USD950) has been separated from the organization's emergency reserve fund. But this fund is not enough to distribute jackets and trousers for those 200 kinds.
So Team of our organization decided to collect the fund from you kind People.
As we estimated each set of jackets and trouser for one kid cost USD20 (twenty). So we have to arrange total fund of USD4000, and still we are lack of USD3000 , Hope for good karma from the people with the good soul .

Below I am presenting Detail of the village , Chepang community, financial arrangement ,program organization, organizer “Sahayogi Sansar” and more .

1.Village (location)

Korak is a village development committee in Chitwan District in the Narayani Zone of southern Nepal.

2.Chepang community.

Chepangs are an indigenous Tibeto-Burman group of people from the south-central region of Nepal. Their villages are concentrated within the boundaries of four districts—Gorkha, Dhading, Makwanpur and Chitwan. The Chepang people used to lead a semi-nomadic lifestyle until a couple of generations ago. A majority of them worked in other people’s fields and households for their livelihood. The rest relied on fishing, hunting, trapping birds and gathering wild tuber from community forests.

3.Financial Arrangement.

Total Budget for the project is USD4000 ( USD20 Each set of jacket and trouser for 200 children)

USD950 collected from "Sahayogi Sansar"

Transportation cost Collecting from our team member .

3.Sahayogi Sansar

Group of youth volunteering for social work in the society.Registered as social organization with the Registration Number:862/71/72

4.Program Schedule.

- 22nd November 2019 (Kathmandu to Chepang village) /300 km on Friday.

-23rd November 2019 (Distribution of jackets and trouser for kids) and Return back to Kathmandu.
