Kay kicks cancer

 Hi. Many of you know Kay Field Hines.  You all know what a special woman she is. and how strong she is.  If you do not know her, you are missing out.   Kay found her breast cancer in 2009. She had a double mastectomy  at that time.  Radation and Chemo force her cancer into remission. Thank the good Lord.   Since 2009  Kay has had surgery on one side 4 times and 3 on the other.  Most of it was to try to correct the failed reconstruction.  She has had  nasty infections that have taken its toll on her body as well. This year she ended up with months of IV Therapy to kick an infection. She went every day to Logansport Memorial to get this IV antibotics.  Now she is fighting again.  Kay has to go every day for the next 3 months to St. Joe in Kokomo to sit in a hydrobaric chamber to try to rejuvenate her skin cells so they can heal. Her skin will not heal because of the intense radation she had to kick the cancer into remission.  She has developed a hole in her skin caused by her implants.  She can not  have surgery yet to close the hole because her skin will not heal enough.  She is looking at yet another surgery,  hoping to be able to get a skin graft in the future.    All of this has taken its toll on her finances.  At $3.39 a gallon for gas,  her money doesn't go very far.  I am asking for help to fund her  journey to Kokomo for her much needed treatments.  Even a little helps. $10 will put 3 gallons of gas in her tank.   It is about  25 miles one way to Kokomo from her home.  That is a more then a gallon of gas each way.  Please help Kay.  She is an awesome person and certainly deserves to get a break.
