Katrina’s Wish

Katrina is a bright young college student who has overcome much in her short 20 years. When she was just 3 years old, her mother was taken into custody for drug use and child abuse, and Katrina was placed into the foster care system in Indiana. Due to some outstanding family issues, she was never adopted and, instead, was passed around in the foster system.

Finally graduating high school with honors, against all odds, she began her education in teaching in college. During her sophomore year, she began to have seizures and fainting spells, only to find she had a large, cancerous tumor on her brain. She immediately began treatment, only to find the problem not getting any better. After multiple operations, doctors were able to remove the majority to help relieve her, but they were not able to obliterate the issue.

Katrina was recently told she has only about a month left. When she was asked what her last wishes were, she merely said she had always hoped to help 40 children be rescued from abuse. Her friends and family want to have Katrina see her wishes come true so are raising support for this cause. Because of the short time span, we are requesting folks to give as they are able in the next few days so Katrina can rejoice at the results.
